Looking to advance your career in manufacturing? We're currently seeking an experienced **Toolmaker** to join our team based in **Preston** With operations spanning across Australia, New Zealand, Fiji, and Papua New Guinea, we're positioned to serve our customers across the region.

As a _Toolmaker_, your responsibilities will be:

- Perform breakdown repairs and preventative maintenance of tooling to ensure smooth manufacturing operations.
- Operate conventional machines such as lathes, milling, drilling, and grinding to manufacture and maintain tooling.
- Provide suggestions for tooling improvements and assist with modifications as required.
- Investigate product, equipment, and process failures to identify and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain up-to-date workshop drawings for tooling replacement and spares.
- Evaluate safety issues related to tooling requirements and participate in safety and quality programs.
- Continuously improve skills to achieve the highest level of quality and efficiency.
- Collaborate with multiple departments to support manufacturing operations.

To be successful, you need to possess the following:

- Mechanical Fitter Trade Qualification.
- Trade qualifications with a **Certificate in Tool Making** (Press Tooling - preferred) / Fitter and Turner.
- Competency with hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Demonstrated experience in industrial automation.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

**Salary**: From $46.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 per week
