**About the role**

The Emergency Services Project Officer will support Culturally and Linguistically Diverse communities to prepare for, respond to and recover well from disasters. The role will be responsible for co-designing and delivering evidence-based and best-practice resources, training, tools, and workshops. In this position, you will be required to establish and maintain collaborative relationships across the emergency management sector, local government, diverse cultural community groups, local service providers and organisations to support the delivery of projects. The position will use a community development approach to support community to lead their own culturally appropriate initiatives to strengthen disaster resilience capacity & capability within their communities.

**What you will bring**
- Sound discipline knowledge gained through experience, training or education.
- Experience in emergency management, project management or community engagement and/or community development.
- Experience working with diverse cultural community groups.
- Experience in delivering/facilitating workshops.
- Experience in delivering project/program outcomes.
- Experience in monitoring, evaluation, and reporting.
- A valid Driver’s License, willingness to drive and a working with children check is mandatory for this position.

**Further information**

This role is covered by the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Award - Level 4. Salary from $82,063.28 FTE + superannuation + salary packaging.
