We are seeking an enthusiastic, committed, customer service focussed Medical Receptionist to provide friendly and efficient support to the AHP Aged Care - Podiatry and Physiotherapy teams

**About the role**

The role of our Medical Receptionist is of key importance to the smooth running of the practice and care of its patients. The successful person will be working around a busy team environment and is responsible for the following:

- Front desk reception duties including 'meet and greet' & registration of patients
- Data entry of billing information
- Identify and investigate discrepancies, process payments & adjustments from Medicare
- Knowledge of item codes for Private Health Funds in relation to Podiatry & Physiotherapy
- Appointment booking, rescheduling, cancelling, and follow ups
- Invoicing and receipting for patients
- Accurate recording of confidential patient information
- Ad hoc administrative duties as required

**About you**
- Previous experience in a multi-disciplinary medical practice
- Exceptional communication skills
- Strong knowledge and use of Microsoft office suite
- Competency in Medical Software and an understanding of Medical Terminology (Coreplus experience preferred, but not essential)
- A sound knowledge of Medicare billings and referral processes
- Compassionate and empathetic nature
- Ability to work under pressure and multi-task with a high attention to detail
- Motivated with excellent problem-solving skills
- Professional outlook
