The Company

Our client is an international business that helps medium and large businesses generate revenue and achieve their sustainability goals through smart electricity management and demand response services. With offices in the UK, Europe, US and Australia. This highly innovative organisation has a clear plan of how they will achieve an ambitious growth plan.

The Role

As the Senior Market Operations Analyst you will interface and closely work with the Australian teams, and at times European managers to ensure the company maintains the principals and procedures of the parent company.

Additionally, as part of the market operations team, focus on minimising the company’s risk profile across all programs through suggested ongoing improvements, whilst contributing to innovative solutions that can be considered and adopted by the local and parent companies.

Key Accountabilities:

- Oversee day-to-day market operational tasks.
- Identify technical and commercial opportunities which optimise existing client portfolios.
- Provide analytical support, programming and data manipulation to the Australian and regional team.
- Ensure alignment of post performance analysis and AEMO compliance reporting is adhered to.
- Actively staying abreast of the changing energy market, networking within the industry, sharing learnings with internal stakeholders and supporting the company’s response to key Policy and Regulatory changes.
- Support tender responses and development of project reports.
- Provide project management & support for developing of new programs and oversight of existing programs.
- Develop best practice tools and lead by example.

About You:

- Tertiary qualification(s) in the area of science, engineering, economics or similar discipline.
- 2 to 6 years professional experience.
- High level of quantitative / analytical data analysis knowledge.
- Self motivated to prioritise, work at pace and maintain clear vision of successful outcomes.
- Demonstrated drive and motivation when office based or working remotely.
- Ability to build strong working collaborative relationships, both with local and international teams within the company.
- Excellent communications, report writing and presentation skills.
- Knowledge of Australia's energy markets - preferably with demand response and/or energy management systems.
