**Role Summary**:
The Principal Experience Designer is a newly created 12-month max-term opportunity in our Customer Experience and Insights team based at our Perth CBD offices.

This role is key in leading the development and maturing of Synergy’s design thinking and human centred design (HCD) capability and standard, working with peers to demonstrate and influence best practices to align with that standard.

**Key responsibilities of the role include**:

- Lead the design and delivery of HCD methodologies to identify and evaluate customer needs, pain points, and behaviours and define the customer problem to solve.
- Align customer experience initiatives with business goals and objectives, balancing the customer desirability with the business’ feasibility and viability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate customer experience design into the overall business strategy and raise the profile of customer experience throughout the business.
- Further the development of the customer experience methodology aligned to Synergy's strategic priorities.
- Provide thought leadership on industry trends and best practices in customer experience.

**What you’ll bring**:

- Qualifications, or equivalent experience, in discovery and design techniques and methodologies, such as design thinking, human centred design, and service design.
- Minimum 8-10 years’ professional experience in customer experience or user experience methodologies, with at least 5 years’ experience using design thinking and HCD principals.
- Exposure to Agile delivery methodology principal and customer experience software (e.g. Miro) will be highly regarded.
- Familiarity with qualitative research methodologies is advantageous.’
- Experience working with cross-functional teams.
