**Position summary**

Alstom’s V/Line Maintenance project is responsible for the management of the maintenance of the V/Line Rolling Stock Fleet. As part of the Supply Chain team, you will be assisting to maintain V/Line’s Classic Fleet of 1950s-1990s built locomotives, carriages and Sprinter DMUs and also the new Vlocity fleet. These trains are a key part of the V/Line Fleet, transporting passengers throughout regional Victoria.

This is a 12 month contract with the possibility of further opportunities in the Supply Chain team

Alstom’s Supply Chain team is based at our West Melbourne Depot, they provide support to the Alstom Maintenance team and V/Line. This role is ideal for an experienced Warehouse Supervisor, with highly developed communication skills, who can draw upon their warehousing knowledge, supply chain and problem solving skills to improve maintain stock availability and maintain a safe working environment.

**Key responsibilities**:

- Know and follow all safety, environmental and emergency procedures and actively participate in all aspects of safety including reporting of near misses
- Manange Quaranitine and repair monthly reports
- Notify Warehouse Mgmt. of all safety, site keeping or maintenance issues that are found during inspection that require assistance
- Stock taking and Cycle counting
- Know and use the ERP transactions
- Detect, treat anomalies and know how to report those that cannot be resolved to their manager
- Ensure the preservation of materials during the all processes (handling, storage, line feeding, NCR, shipment)

**Experience and qualifications**:

- Proven experience in a similar role
- Previous experience managing hazardous materials storage is preferred
- Experience in rail, transportation or manufacturing industry is highly desirable
- Good time management skills and managing multiple projects at the same time
- Supervises daily warehouse activity in line with company requirements
- Management of a large team (12+ people)
- Proficient Microsoft Office skills.
- Previous experience working with ERP (Maximo, SAP)
