**About your new role**:
We have a new opportunity for a Maintenance Supervisor to join our UniLodge team at
**_University of Canberra - Campus West_** on a full time (12 month) maximum term basis. We are seeking a highly motivated individual who can supervise and work within a small team undertaking general maintenance of our student apartments, common areas and building exterior. Additional key responsibilities include:

- Respond to a range of requests for any urgent repairs or issues requested by staff or management
- Completing general repairs such as plumbing, electrical, plant and machinery, tiling, light bulb changes, painting, plastering and carpentry
- Complete worksheets and monitor, report & manage spare parts stock levels
- Attending scheduled briefings and meetings as required by senior management
- Establishing good working relations with contractors
- Ensure all equipment is maintained, used and stored correctly
- Attending on-call shifts including major emergency issues after hours i.e., water leakages, power failures, fire etc

**About You**

We are seeking a dynamic person who has a great personality and can turn their hand and ideas into pretty much anything. You will be able to demonstrate experience in a similar role - any experience within accommodation, real estate or hospitality will be highly regarded. You will have a 'safety first' mindset and understanding of basic OH&S principles and chemical handling.

This role will keep you busy and will offer you variety in duties day-to-day. You will need to have the physical ability to move & relocate soft furnishings around property and be okay with working independently and within a team. Communication skills are key in this role as our staff and residents come from diverse backgrounds.

Our mandatory requirements include:

- National Police Check (completed within last 3 months), at your own cost
- Working with Children Check, at your own cost
- Current First Aid & CPR Certificate, or willing to obtain
- Unrestricted work rights in Australia and New Zealand
