**About the role**
VACCA’s Learning & Development Unit is responsible for building the skills, knowledge, and capability of the VACCA team, supporting VACCA’s growth and development as the lead Aboriginal child and family organisation in Victoria.
This position will oversee and lead the External Training Team of Learning and Development Unit. This includes providing practice guidance and supervision to the Cultural Training Team Leader. In line with VACCA’s strategic ambitions, the Cultural Manager will coordinate cultural training that builds cultural capability across the sector.
You will play a key role in helping shape VACCA’s new Learning and Development Centre including overseeing the implementation of key initiatives identified in a recent external review process. A key focus of this role will be to provide cultural advice and guidance in the planning and implementation of cultural training packages within VACCA and the broader community

The Victorian Aboriginal Child Care Agency (VACCA) is an Aboriginal Community-Controlled organisation that supports and advocates for the Aboriginal Community and is the largest organisation of it’s kind in Australia. **About You**
- Demonstrated ability to work with Aboriginal organisations and communities, and a proven ability to effectively communicate with Aboriginal people.
- Ability to communicate in a culturally appropriate, and respectful way with a range of stakeholders including staff and external parties.
- Experience in developing and delivering training packages
- Demonstrated capacity to provide an Aboriginal and cultural perspective on all training modules within the Learning and Development Unit and externally.
- A TAFE or Tertiary qualification in a relevant field along with demonstrated experience will be highly considered but not essential.
- **Requirement**: Current COVID-19 vaccination (including booster dose, as applicable), a Working with Children’s Check for a paid employee (or willingness to obtain) and a Victorian Drivers Licence
