**About the role**

This role assists the Program Manager with the access and delivery of a high quality outpatient general rehabilitation service for CALHN consistent with the priorities for the Day Rehabilitation Service and Neuroscience and Rehabilitation Program. Specifically the role manages the nursing led triage for the service and in the course of fulfilling the role of Nurse Consultant, Level 3, provides clinical nursing expertise for _specified individual patients/ clients and/or groups and/or patient/ client populations. co-ordinates the amputee clinic and the stroke rehabilitation follow up clinic both multi-disciplinary clinics which are part of the Day Rehabilitation Service_

The main focus of this role is improvement of clinical assessment and delivery of care processes for the rehabilitation patient group. Work at this level is undertaken by employees with a least 3 years post registration experience.

The Nurse Consultant accepts accountability for the outcomes of nursing practice for the specific client group and for addressing inconsistencies between practice and policy.

**Qualifications**
- Registered or eligible for registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate.

**Essential Requirements**:

- Current National Police Clearance (NPC)
- Working with Children Check
