**The Opportunity**:
As an APS6 Training Officer, you will have the opportunity to work with a passionate team and deliver leadership and management training. A career with this client will provide you with a chance to work in a program that provides the framework to deliver a whole-of-government approach for strong, integrated and adaptive national civil maritime security.

**The Role**:
Working as the APS6 Training officer, you will be responsible for, but not limited to:

- Delivering training to students who use English as a second language
- Developing and delivering a wide range of effective learning solutions and programs for staff. This may include e-learning, face-to-face or virtual training, workshops, webinars, newsletters, experiential learning or peer-to-peer learning opportunities
- Motivating, developing people and providing direction to support Academy employees
- Modelling workplace safety, equity and diversity, participative management and effective workplace environments and acting in accordance with the APS Values and Behaviours

**Your Background and Experience**:

- Certificate IV Workplace Training and Assessment
- Proven track record in delivering training to students who use English as a second language
- High level of competence in providing expert knowledge in leadership and management
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills
- Proven critical thinking, creativity and problem-solving capabilities. Experience using human-centred design principles and data to inform outcomes is preferred

**A baseline security clearance will be required for this role.**

**Salary / Rate**:

- $60 - $65 + 10.5% super
- 6 month contract with option to extend
