The Coordinator Procurement position is a newly created role within Scenic Rim Regional Council's Sustainability team. Council has identified the requirement to increase its capabilities and improve processes of the procurement function to ensure Council is gaining maximum value of expenditure across the organisation.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced procurement specialist to contribute to a forward-thinking organisation, delivering great outcomes for the Scenic Rim community and business sectors.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Manage the procurement-to-pay process across Council, ensuring the delivery of value for money outcomes and improved back-of-house functions.
- Category management activities (based on research, data collection and analysis, forecasting, planning and scheduling).
- Identify and analyse business and commercial opportunities and provide recommendations, initiatives, strategies and actions to management.
- Monitor supplier performance and relationships and create more strategic partnerships with current and potential suppliers.
- Lead change by driving business process improvement opportunities and efficiencies.
- Provide specialist advice and support to the Executive Leadership to effectively lead and manage tendering processes.

**Qualifications and Attributes**:

- High level knowledge of procurement, tendering and contract management.
- Demonstrated experience in a strategic procurement role, including vendor, contract, and category management concepts and strategies.
- Formal qualifications in a business-related discipline and/or Level 4 Diploma with Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS).
- High level Excellent written communication skills including the ability to prepare complex procurement, technical documents and reporting.

Scenic Rim is set in the foothills of the Great Dividing Range and surrounded by World Heritage-listed national parks. Home to a population of more than 40,000, the region covers 4254sq km and is located an hour south of Brisbane and an hour inland from the Gold Coast.
