**Casual position - Health Assistant in Nursing**

The Health Assistant in Nursing (HAN) plays an integral role within the team by providing person-centred, quality care to our patients. Our committed team are inviting you to join us to build your career in aged care at the Royal Melbourne Hospital.

**Your new role**:

- The HAN is required to work under the direction and supervision of the Nurse Unit Manager (NUM) and/or a Registered Nurse (RN) delegate.
- The HAN works within their level of education, assessed competencies and under clearly defined role parameters.
- The HAN provides direct care and assistance to patients and families as well as supporting the nursing teams.
- Casual HANs work within the Nursing Workforce Unit with allocations to clinical areas including acute and sub-acute wards, and aged care settings.

**How to be successful**:

- Certificate III or IV in related fields.
- At least 6 months of experience in a Healthcare setting.
- Commit to the Melbourne Way by putting people first, leading with kindness, and achieving excellence together.
