Dietary Assistant

**Permanent part-time role for a Dietary Assistant to join our busy Catering Team at St Andrew’s**

**About the role**

As a Dietary Assistant, you will assist in department and our patients by being the main point of contact for collating completed menus into details used by the chefs and assistants to prepare and serve meals.

Under the supervision of the Catering Manager, you will:

- Place completed menu orders onto tally sheets for Chefs to prepare
- Report back to the nursing team on any issues with patient order choices against diet
- Respond to phone queries in a friendly manner
- Interact with patients to provide them with correct menus and discuss selections
- Assisting the catering team and chef by sorting correct meal to delivery trolley

- Desirable_
- Certificate III in a related field will be well regarded
- Minimum of 12 months experience in a hospital setting
- Experience with ChefMax or other ordering system
- Knowledge of kitchen hygiene
