**JOB DESCRIPTION**

Inner West Window Specialists (IWWS) are looking for a Sales/Window Assessor to join the IWWS team.

The Sales/Window Assessor will travel by car to clients’ homes to assess/inspect client windows and doors for the purpose of estimating job cost, repairs and identifying structural issues.

The Sales/Window Assessor will take photos of windows, doors and work areas for the team, work with a tablet to record glass measurements and materials required and speak with clients about glass and service options.

This position is suitable _for an experienced carpenter/builder/tradesperson_ looking to change their career, or semi-retired, injured or ex-tradesperson. This position can be tailored for someone transitioning into a sales role, recovering from injury or retiring out of the industry.

**THE ROLE**

To undertake duties and perform work as directed by the General Manager and Director.

Key responsibilities and accountabilities:

- Work closely with Director and General Manager on assigned tasks
- Visit client houses and assess their windows/doors
- Customer service: booking client assessments and answering client questions
- Dress neatly and behave respectfully and professionally, especially in clients’ homes
- Discuss glass options and IWWS services with clients
- Take photos/videos of windows/doors and upload them to online storage for Director and General Manager to prepare quotes (i.e. be able to use a smart phone and Google Drive and communicate with other team members)
- Identify structural/rot issues in windows and communicate them to the Director
- Measure window glass and communicate measurements with team members, using technology provided for orders

(NB: Training is available for our digital systems and taking photos; if you are willing to learn and use it, we are happy to teach the right person)

**REQUIREMENTS**:

- Essential: driver’s license and preferably a car
- Construction/building/carpentry/heritage restoration experience
- Confident speaking with clients in person and over the phone
- Available full-time

**Desirable**:

- Be confident using or willing to learn to use Google Workspace/G:Drive or communicate clearly with the General Manager about technology needs to come to different working arrangement
- Customer service experience

**About Inner West Window Specialists**

Inner West Window Specialists is a small team of family and friends working together to improve sustainability of character and heritage homes in Sydney and sustainability of our industry.

We are interested in improving sustainability in our work by salvaging and reusing heritage materials where possible. We aim to retain original materials as much as possible and only replace where necessary, reducing the waste we produce and maintaining the character of homes across Sydney.

We support small, local businesses and aim to build a network of like-minded tradespeople to support sustainability in the building and construction industry.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $60,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
