We are partnering with Xact Accounting, the leading building and construction accounting firm, to find a qualified and experienced Bookkeeper Manager. This position will suit senior professionals who are excited to shape the direction and performance of the recently established bookkeeping division while maintaining strong service-delivery skills through a dedicated client portfolio. **Role Overview**
As a Bookkeeping Manager at Xact Accounting, you will be instrumental in overseeing your team's work and managing the day-to-day bookkeeping of your clients. You will also join our newly created bookkeeping division, strategically formed to cater to the strong demand for high-quality bookkeeping services in our chosen niche.
**Your core responsibilities include**:
- Serving as the primary point of contact with clients, fostering meaningful relationships
- Overseeing all communication, ensuring clarity and professionalism
- Ensuring new clients are onboarded smoothly
- Reviewing the preparation of BAS & IAS, payroll, payroll tax, and superannuation returns
- Monitoring statutory compliance, ensuring timely client deadlines
- Mentoring your team, creating a collaborative and growth-oriented environment
- Has a minimum of 6 years of experience as a bookkeeper, managing multiple clients concurrently
- Excels in supervising accounts production, demonstrating strong delegation skills
- Enjoys connecting with clients over the phone and possesses excellent communication skills
- Has a firm grasp of technology currently in use across the bookkeeping industry
- Works well under pressure, meeting deadlines with accuracy and attention to detail
