**Your Role**:
As an Artillery Systems Operator, you play a critical role in the success of Artillery missions. You will use high-tech equipment to gather intelligence and paint a clear picture of the battlefield. You’ll work as part of a close-knit team to identify targets, coordinate and direct ammunition fire from various advanced weapons systems.

No experience is required, you’ll learn to use a combination of high-tech drones, radars and satellites to direct the artillery, mortar, helicopter and naval fire ships. You’ll also get your hands on advanced digital mapping technology, where you’ll receive and transmit battlefield intelligence.

If you have the ambition, we’ll give you the knowledge to succeed in this role. From day one, you’ll build a valuable IT and Telecommunications skillset while being trained to solve problems and make an impact on the battlefield.

This is an IT focused role with a difference - no two days are the same and you’ll always be close to the action.

**Salary**:
In the Army you'll get paid a good salary from day one regardless of your age, experience or qualifications. Upon commencing training, your starting salary will be approximately $54,815 per annum plus 16.4% superannuation and your pay will increase as you progress through training.

On completion of your initial military training and initial employment training, you could earn $77,451 per annum plus generous super.

For this role, you must be an Australian citizen, over 17 at the time of enlistment and have completed an Australian Year 10 education (or equivalent) with passes in English and Mathematics.
