**About the Role**

Active support to meet the individual needs of older people from Nambour to Noosa and empower them to continue to remain safely and independently in their home.

We are looking for caring and responsible support workers who reflect the Life Without Barriers values and are passionate about helping others.

We have Permanent Part Time opportunities available with flexible working hours to suit your lifestyle, and the hours can be based between school hours if required. You will support multiple clients per day across so an Australian Drivers Licence is required for this position, we provide reimbursement per km’s travelled while you are working.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Social supports inclusive of support to attend medical appointments, social activities in the local community, building/maintaining social networks
- In-home supports inclusive of meal preparation and assistance with daily living
- Personal care inclusive of showering, daily hygiene, monitoring of health and well-being (for example, identification of wound care needs, skin integrity, etc)
- Domestic assistance may be included. This consists of light cleaning duties, changing of linen, washing/laundry

**Skills & Experience**
- A current unrestricted Australian drivers licence and a reliable vehicle with minimum 3rd party insurance
- Certificate III in Aged Care or similar (or intent to attain relevant qualifications in the immediate future) or other relevant experience
- A current First Aid and CPR Certificate
- Prior experience working in the community with ageing clients is highly regarded
- The ability to develop positive relationships with the clients and to support their individual care plans as appropriate
- Great communication skills

To be considered for and appointed to a position at Life Without Barriers, you must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 with a minimum of two (2) doses or hold a valid medical exemption certificate, in accordance with Life Without Barriers Employee COVID-19 Vaccination Policy. You will be required to provide evidence of your vaccination status during the recruitment process.
