Swinburne Neuroimaging (SNI), in the Centre for Mental Health & Brain Sciences (CMHBS), is a key research facility at Swinburne University of Technology and a node of the Australian National Imaging Facility (NIF), an Australia-wide collaborative network of world-class imaging infrastructure funded under the National Collaborative Research Infrastructure Strategy (NCRIS). Reporting to the Director of SNI, the Neuroimaging Informatics Fellow, co-funded by the NIF and Swinburne University, is the principal SNI scientist responsible for developing and supporting innovative and robust data informatics systems for MRI, MEG and EEG users at Swinburne and across the NIF network.

The Informatics Fellow will take a lead role in developing and supporting national capabilities in Open Science standards for neuroimaging data analysis and data sharing. The position will have the following principal roles: (i) developing and supporting innovative data analysis platforms for neuroimaging research, following the FAIR guidelines; (ii) managing and ongoing revision of practices and systems to ensure robust neuroimaging data management; (iii) providing expert support for facility users to plan and implement data analysis and manage data. The appointee will be a member of an interdisciplinary national team and coordinate and participate in NIF activities to achieve its objectives, including supporting the national informatics needs, working with the Australian Research Data Commons (ARDC), contributing to data analytics and management policy for NIF, and playing an active role in the national and international Open Science neuroimaging community. The appointee will be expected to work with the university ITS and administration of the OzStar HPC system to ensure excellence in data management and analysis systems for all facility users. The incumbent will carry out appropriate activities to maintain and develop their scholarly, research and/or professional expertise.

**About You**
To be suitable for this role you will need to have experience in the below key accountabilities:

- Demonstrated high level of interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to work within a collaborative team environment in multi-disciplinary contexts.
- Demonstrated experience in analysis algorithms implementation, data management and analysis.
- Experience with Linux, distributed and high performance computing (SGE, SLURM), preferably in the context of neuroimaging data analysis.
- Advanced knowledge of high-level computing languages (eg. Python, C, Matlab, R)
- Demonstrated ability to plan effectively, be proactive and solve problems in a constructive manner.

**Qualifications**
- An earned doctoral qualification in science, in an area related to numerical and scientific computing, preferably in the context of neuroimaging.
