Fumigation Technician

**South East Queensland Hauliers is a full service wharf logistics provider based in Hemmant, 5 minutes from the Port of Brisbane. Founded in the 1960's, SEQH have grown to become one of the largest import/export wharf carriers whilst still remaining a family owned and operated business.**

It is an exciting time to join our business as we continue along our journey of ongoing expansion and growth. Due to this we are currently hiring experienced Fumigator, who will be responsible to the fumigation of import and export containers that come through our depot.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Provide quality fumigation services for local clients, including but not limited to import and export commodities, shipping containers;
- Determine type and method of fumigation by following AQIS Directions;
- Use hand-held gas monitoring equipment to conduct readings;
- Follow safety guidelines, OSHA mandated guidelines and all client specified guidelines;
- Ensure equipment and PPE are cleaned, decontaminated and stored according to company requirements;
- Continually improve knowledge base of the fumigation, pest control and food processing industry;
- Assist Managers with scheduling and carrying out account services
- Cert III in Pest Management (desirable)
- Pest management technician license endorsed for fumigation and be trained in AFAS
- Ability to read and interpret directions and safety instructions, including Equipment Manuals, Chemical Labels and Safety Data Sheets (SDS)
- Physically fit and able to work in all weather conditions;
- Excellent communication, attention to detail, organised and time management skills;
- Current drivers license;
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast paced environment.
