Cranbourne, Australia Corrections Victoria Full time

Work in a team dedicated to helping people make positive changes to their lives.
- Full time, ongoing position based in Melbourne's South Region
- Earn $92,332 - $104,762 per year (plus super) with guaranteed yearly increases.

Evidence suggests that people who re-integrate into the community following a period of imprisonment require transitional support in order to reduce their risk of reoffending.
Why we love this work
When a person's risk profile allows it, community-based rehabilitation is more effective at addressing offending behaviour than time in custody.
In your work, you will hear another person's story. You will come to understand their world view. And you will hold them accountable for their decisions. You will be part of giving offenders a second chance to make a more positive contribution to the community.
Your job won't always be easy, but with a strong work ethic and a belief in what you're doing, you will be able to take pride in your work and will know what it's like to make a genuine difference in someone else's life.

You will help a caseload of complex and high risk clients meet their court order conditions and connect them to community programs and services. You will also lead and mentor staff, guiding them to deliver quality evidence-based case management practice to clients.

**Some of your day-to-day responsibilities include**:

- conducting risk assessments

- providing interventions
- coordinating service providers and care teams
