As Chief of Staff you’ll report into the CEO and work directly with the ExCo to help deliver the growth agenda of ING Australia as we embark on a refreshed strategy. Operating as essentially the Business Manager to the CEO you’ll play a pivotal role in decision making and faster, more effective execution to the growth initiatives and governance activities across the bank.

This role will be widely varied in the day-to-day responsibilities so requires someone who is an excellent operator with the ability to pivot and reprioritize based on the needs of the business. You’ll be responsible for drawing up, implementing, and monitoring internal business processes and acting as a linking pin for business units bank wide, to enable effective and efficient operation of all activities across ING Australia. Working closely with a wide range of stakeholders across the three lines of defence; governance, regulatory compliance and overall business strategy will be key to your day as well as a genuine interest in our people and our customers.

**What **you’ll** do**
- Supporting the ExCo in a cadence that supports the attainment of both immediate targets and delivery of the long term strategic agenda.
- Working with Finance and other Business Managers to ensure commercial focus is aligned with customer focus, business drivers, financial results, developments and forecasts. Having the knowledge and confidence to highlight risks and opportunities as they arise.
- Ensuring the CEO and EXCO have the necessary information and awareness to respond effectively to stakeholder issues both internal and external.
- Anticipating and identifying issues for discussion and advise the CEO prior to meetings and presentations.
- Working closely with others to ensure the CEO is constantly connecting with the team in a variety of active, visible and meaningful ways, engaging in two-way communication.
