Rapid Geo is currently looking for an Environmental Consultant (Environmental Science or other Earth Sciences related) with proven experience as an Environmental Advisor (e.g., Environment, Quality, Health and/or Safety).
Seeking someone who is a high-achieving results driven professional.
**About the Role**:
Reporting to the Senior Environmental Team Leader, you will work as part of a small close-nit team.
Here you will be planning and undertaking office work and fieldwork, project management, completing environmental investigations, and full interpretive reporting of environmental projects.
You will be performing environmental audits on site to identify environmental risks to the environment and community.
You will have autonomy as we will be looking to you to help the team with conducting field work activities (e.g., conduct sampling of soil, groundwater, air, soil vapor, and landfill gas), as well as office work (e.g., analyze data, contribute to technical report writing, client maintenance and supporting the junior and senior staff with department activities).
You will also be required to have an understanding and experience in developing, auditing and maintaining ISO 9001, ISO 45001, ISO 14001 Management Systems. Be proficient at written and oral communication, along with competent PC and software skills.

- A tertiary qualification in Environmental Engineering, Geology, Bachelor of Environmental Science or another related degree, with a solid understanding of in a Environmental Advisor role.
- At least 1 to 3 years of demonstrated experience in carrying out environmental audits.
- Demonstrated experience with ISO 9001, ISO14001 and ISO45001.
- A successful track record in project management and undertaking environmental investigations for small to large scale projects.
- Experience in producing fee proposals for various project types and sizes.
- Carrying out environmental impact assessments for a wide range of development projects.
- Studying the effects of factors related to anthropogenic pollution and the impacts on potential receptors (e.g., site workers, residents, pedestrians, flora and fauna).
- Knowledge of current guidelines, technical standards, legislation and codes of practice relevant to Contaminated Land Industry in NSW / Australia.
- Enforcing laws and regulations to conserve and protect flora and fauna.
- Logging, collecting, studying and analyzing soil and water samples.
- Ability to maintain strong relationships with existing clients as well as create leads to help build professional relationships with new clients.
- Passion for technical excellence, attention to detail, and a solution-oriented mindset.
- Proposing solutions to address negative or adverse environmental impacts.
- Project management skills, including resource and budget management, with certification in project management being desirable.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A strong work ethic and the ability to work cohesively within a team driven environment.
- High commitment to safety & detailed orientated.
- General induction card (White Card).
- A current valid driver’s license class C (manual would be highly regarded).
- Full Australian working rights.
