**Position Information**:
Eden Public School provides quality education and is committed to the pursuit of excellence and high quality educational opportunities for every member of our school community. As a school community we provide a rich and dynamic educational environment that is inclusive and supports the improvement of student outcomes and the narrowing of the achievement gap between students. The current student enrolment is 245. Enrolments include mainstream students, gifted and talented students, 27% First Nation students, as well as 25% students with learning disabilities and or learning/adjustments, some of whom are supported within one of 3 support classes. The school values are Respect, Responsibility and Resilience. These values are imbedded across K-6 and are promoted through Positive Behaviour for Success. The 1.0 Itinerant Support Teacher Hearing, while based at Eden Public School, is part of the Far South Coast Specialist Team as led by the Assistant Principal Hearing based at Milton Public School.

**Selection Criteria**:
Approval to teach Hearing Impairment. Successful teaching experience with the capacity to initiate improvement in teaching and learning in meeting the personalised learning and differentiation needs of students with hearing loss and with other complex disabilities.

Knowledge of curriculum, assessment, and student wellbeing with the capacity to plan, deliver and evaluate high quality differentiated Literacy and Numeracy programs with improved outcomes and student engagement.

Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to build collaborative relationships and engage students, staff, parents, and stakeholders.

Demonstrated knowledge of and commitment to the Department’s Aboriginal education policy and Partnership Agreement. Ability to develop authentic relationships with schools, students, their families and communities

Experience and/or willingness to engage in professional learning, including but not limited to Auslan and student self-advocacy disability skills.
