We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head Baker to lead our bakery team and uphold our reputation for excellence.

Position Overview:
As the Head Baker you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our bakery operations, ensuring the production of high-quality French pastries, bread, and desserts. You will lead a team of bakers and pastry chefs, guiding them in maintaining our standards of excellence while fostering a collaborative and positive work environment. The Head Baker plays a crucial role in recipe development, quality control, inventory management, and maintaining a clean and organised workspace.

**Responsibilities**:
1. Lead and manage a team of bakers and pastry chefs, including hiring, training, and performance management.

2. Develop and execute production schedules to ensure the timely delivery of freshly baked goods.

3. Oversee recipe development and standardization, ensuring consistency and quality in all products.

4. Implement and enforce strict food safety and hygiene standards in accordance with regulatory requirements.

5. Manage inventory levels and ordering of ingredients and supplies to meet production needs.

6. Monitor equipment performance and maintenance to ensure optimal functionality.

7. Collaborate with management to develop new product offerings and seasonal menus.

8. Maintain a clean and organized bakery workspace, adhering to sanitation standards at all times.

9. Uphold a culture of teamwork, professionalism, and continuous improvement among bakery staff.

10. Stay updated on industry trends, techniques, and best practices in French baking.

Qualifications:
1. Minimum of 10 years of experience in professional baking, with a focus on French pastries and bread.

2. Proven leadership experience in a bakery or pastry kitchen setting, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.

3. Extensive knowledge of French baking techniques, recipes, and ingredients.

4. Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment.

5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues at all levels.

6. Attention to detail and a commitment to producing consistently high-quality products.

7. Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in sanitation.

8. Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Pay: $85,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
