**About the role**

Working within a supportive team environment, the Volunteer Engagement Coordinator will lead all aspects of the Southern Cross Care Volunteer Program, from promoting the rewards and benefits of volunteering with SCC, to supporting and celebrating our valued volunteer workforce and the contribution they make to our community.

Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Promotion of the Volunteer Program and recruitment of new volunteers
- Volunteer training, management, compliance and reporting activities
- Volunteer engagement, support and recognition activities

**About you**

We are looking for people who will make a positive difference to the Southern Cross Care community, helping us to attract, support and engage compassionate and volunteers to support our charitable services.
- Experience working in a similar or related role
- High level interpersonal and communication skills
- Prioritisation, organisation and time management skills
- Ability to build strong internal relationships and contribute to a team
- Understanding of volunteer engagement principles and the valuable role that volunteers play in not-for-profit organisations
