Maintenance Fitters

We are working with a client who is an industry leader in manufacturing and supplier of power line equipment specifically designed for low voltage (LV) and medium voltage (MV) overhead and underground distribution networks.

They are currently looking to employ trades-qualified and experienced Maintenance Fitters to join their growing team in their manufacturing plant in Yatala, QLD.

These are permanent full-time roles, with day and afternoon shifts available.

**Shifts available**:
Day shift: 6:30 am - 3:00 pm
Afternoon shift: 2:30 pm - 11:00 pm

**About the role**:

- An extensive maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment is highly regarded for the role.
- Conduct breakdowns and preventive maintenance in a manufacturing environment.
- Conduct general maintenance of machinery.
- Perform servicing and repairs of pneumatic and hydraulic equipment (fabrication and welding).
- Operate PLC and non-PLC operated machines (i.e., lathes, milling, etc)

**What we are looking for**:

- Trades Qualified Maintenance Fitters (Electrical qualification an advantage).
- 3 years minimum experience in a similar role (Manufacturing set up is advantageous).
- Computer literate and PLC software skills are advantageous.
- Ability to work effectively in a multi-skilled environment.
- Strong commitment to safe work and environmental guidelines and practices.
- Ability to contribute and attend on continuous improvement initiatives in the workplace.
- A post trade in hydraulics and pneumatics is highly regarded.
- Troubleshoot mechanical faults, production breakdowns, production start-ups and operate settings using hydraulic & pneumatics.
- Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical faults in industrial machinery.
- Experience in performing Lathe and Milling operations.
- Ability to weld and fabricate - MIG, Stick and TIG (TIG is not essential but highly regarded).
