Solid Plaster

Our client AGS Plastering (NSW) Pty Limited, located in Punchbowl NSW 2196, requires full-time, skilled, and experienced solid plasterer.

**To be considered for this role you must have**:

- AQF Certificate III including at least two years of on-the-job training
- Or AQF Certificate IV
- Or at least three years of relevant experience to substitute the formal qualification
- You must be Australian Citizen/Permanent resident or have proper working rights in Australia

**Your main duties include**:

- Taking measurements of the plasterboard, cutting, and marking the plasterboard accurately
- Finding plasterboard layout and other barriers
- Roughens undercoat with scratcher to provide bond for succeeding coats of plaster
- Creates decorative textures in finish coat by making surface of coat with brush and trowel or by spattering surface with pebbles
- Covering the joins and nail holes with wet plasters and smoothing them using wet brushes and sandpaper.
- Straightening or levelling uneven corners, walls, and ceilings
- Making the corner beads and securing them in correct position
- Rendering outside walls
- Lifting the panels, accurately positioning them, and securing them to walls
- Direct workers to mix plaster to desired consistency
