- The
**Administration**
**Assistant**
**(Level 3 School Officer)** is a member of the College Support Team working to support the day-to-day operations of the College, with particular reference to supporting the Curriculum Systems Manager and PA to the Principal.
- The Administration Assistant reports directly to the Curriculum Systems Manager as their line manager.
- As a member of the Mt Maria College Petrie staff, the employee in this position is required to ensure the Catholic ethos in the Marist tradition is maintained and enhanced through their work.
- The role holder may at times deal with issues of a confidential and sensitive nature and a high degree of discretion is required.

**Position Description**
- Position: Level 3 School Officer

**Qualifications**:

- Tertiary qualifications at Certificate level or equivalent qualifications relevant to the position may be required or such knowledge, qualifications and experience that are deemed by the employer as necessary to successfully carry out the duties of the position.

**Typical Duties / Skills**
- The following is a non-exclusive list of duties that the role holder may be required to perform:

- When required, provide back-up assistance during peak times or staff absences to College Reception areas of College, including answering phones, dealing with enquiries, deliveries and messages and support to other administration.
- When required, provide back-up assistance during peak times or staff absences to Student Reception areas of College, including answering phones, dealing with student enquiries, managing student movement records and support to other administration.
- Provide support to the Curriculum Systems Manager, including awards, exam processes, liaising with Learning Enhancement, supporting relief teachers, data wall, noticeboards, EdSmart excursion/event permissions, and other administration as required.
- Provide administration support to the Sports Coordinator as required, including bookings, communications and other tasks as required.
- Provide administration and event planning of various College events, such as parent information evenings and orientation days, including issuing invitations to guests; coordinating catering and venue requirements; planning, preparing and delivering events as per the run sheet and script; general event management and coordination.
- The above list describes duties in general, not in total. Other duties may be requested of the Administration Assistant (Level 3) as determined by the College Principal.
- Working with Children Legislation The Commission for Children and Young People Act 2000 requires the role holder to possess a current Blue Card.

**Reporting and Other Relationships**:

- Relationships of significance exist with the other teachers and support staff

- hold a Paid Employee Positive Notice Blue Card prior to commencement;
- be eligible to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment; and
