- Under limited supervision from the Manager, Properties and Procurement, organise and manage the day-to-day operations of the Tasmanian Government Courier Service in Hobart and provide support to the Launceston courier team.We support reasonable adjustment requests in any stage of the assessment process to remove barriers and facilitate full participation in all aspects of employment for applicants. **Hours per fortnight**

Up to 73.5 hours - flexible options available.

**Duties**
- Daily organisation and supervisory duties including:
- Supervise/organise all couriers;
- Manage delivery/collection schedules to ensure deliveries are made in a timely manager; and
- Ensure efficient, prompt and accurate sorting and safe delivery/collection of Government Mail
- Client and Supplier liaison - Foster and maintain good relations with all users of the service and liaise with Australia Post and other delivery contractors on matters relating to the service
- Management and reporting duties:
- Maintain appropriate records of activities, leave, routes and mail statistics;
- Submit reports on aspects of the service as required;
- Ensure that vehicles and equipment are properly maintained and regularly serviced;
- Train new couriers; and
- Carry out mail deliveries, as required.
- The incumbent can expect to be allocated duties, not specifically mentioned in this document, that are within the capacity, qualifications and experience normally expected from persons occupying positions at this classification level.

**Desirable Requirements**

Holder of a current and valid non-probationary driving licence.
