The Cleaning Team Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the cleaning all areas of a Coles DC to the standards detailed in the “How to Guides” (HTG’s) and “Skills Guides” (SG’s). This work is to be completed within designated timeframes and delivered to a high standard of customer service as detailed in the training provided to the Team Member.

The Supervisor is also responsible for providing on-site supervision of the Cleaning Team Members on shift and Leading Hands across all shifts.

**They are also responsible for**:

- General direction and supervision of the Leading Hands and Cleaning Team members.
- Managing the cleaning and maintaining any area of the DC, using approved systems and techniques, as set out in the HTG’s and SG’s. Overseeing the maintenance of food safety and hygiene standards across all areas of the DC.
- Ensuring Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S) policies and procedures are followed.
- Managing the correctly using chemicals, equipment and machinery in adherence by Leading hands and Team Members and are within specifications.
- Managing OH&S compliance requirements across all shifts and sites.
- Manage the induction of all new Team Members in both City and Coles required trainings. Ensure all relevant induction documentation is completed and forwarded to People & Safety team in a timely manner.
- Update Team Members training data base. Ensure all training records are maintained and up to date.

This requires a regular visitation program for the DCs to monitor the delivery of cleaning services. It also involves the supervision of the cleaning services team members to ensure the provision of the highest standards of service.

This position must also develop and maintain close working relationships with key stakeholders at the Coles Distribution Centres and associated companies.

KEY SELECTION CRITERIA
Qualifications Certificate in Cleaning/Asset Maintenance (1, 2 or 3) - highly regarded or willingness to obtain these certificates
Experience/Expertise
- Used industrial cleaning equipment in industrial environment
- Used colour coded equipment in industrial/retail environment Minimum of 5 years’ experience in cleaning/food service industries - essential
- Minimum of 5 years’ supervision experience of dynamic team in customer service industry - Essential
- Staff and Roster management experience
- Proven strong working relationship with key stakeholders in busy environment - Essential
- Proven experience in managing ‘hard floor’ clean environment - Preferred
- Proven high level of customer service and management skills across di/verse team/skill set - Essential
- Intermediate to advanced IT skills Microsoft Office (Word, Excel & Outlook) - Essential

PHYSICAL DIMENSIONS
- Ability to work in an office environment that involves sitting and/or standing at a workstation
- Ability to use standard IT equipment, including a monitor, mouse and keyboard
- Ability to use office stairs (or take shelter in stair well in the event of a building emergency evacuation)
- Ability to wear a facemask inline with government directives
- Ability to visit and/or supervise works occurring at Partner sites

- Ensuring Team Members work in accordance with policies, procedures and specifications.
- Advising the Supervisor/State Manager of any operational issues or problems.
- Participating in induction and training of new Team Members.
- Escalating any performance or personnel issues to the Supervisor/State Manager.
- Providing feedback to the Supervisor/State Manager on the performance of Team Members
