About the Role

As the Rehabilitation Registrar you will provide day to day clinical management of patients under the care and direction of the Director of Rehabilitation Services at St George’s Hospital. Responsibilities include clinical management of rehabilitation inpatients and participation in rehabilitation outpatient services.
- Supervision of the junior medical officers
- Clinical oversight of the rehabilitation patients
- Rehabilitation medicine assessment and management of patients attending ambulatory rehabilitation programs
- Participation in in-service training program for the rehabilitation team
- Participation in undergraduate medical teaching
- Involvement in research and quality programs being undertaken by the rehabilitation service
- Participation in after-hours on-call roster

Education Program
- Weekly sessions with supervisors
- Weekly AFRM registrar tutorials
- Monthly St Vincent’s Hospital rehabilitation in-service program
- Weekly SVHM medical grand rounds
- Weekly journal club meetings at St George's
- Opportunity to attend numerous clinical meetings at both St Georges and St Vincent’s Hospital Melbourne.

Classifications for this position will range from HM25 - HM30 ($122,830.24 - $169,063.44 per annum)

Appointment Duration: 5th of February, 2024 - 2nd February 2025

Your Contribution
- MBBS or Equivalent
- Undertaking training in Rehabilitation Medicine
- Unrestricted General AHPRA registration
- Valid National criminal history check
