- About the role- The Field Service Technician role without immediate supervision or direction, work in a fast-paced team that provides our customers with a great experience by activating and assuring telecommunications / technology products and services, in the home and or business.- You actively participate in a diverse team environment to deliver the optimum customer and commercial outcomes aligned to the corporate strategy.- This role will be based in Toowoomba.- Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver seamless service rectification and product installations, to the full satisfaction of Telstra’s customers.
- Complete assurance & activation of products, services & CPE, including
- Exchange MDF, Customer MDF and Pillar Jumpering- PSTN- ISDN- Pair Gain Systems- ADSL (Simplex & Complex)- nbn Consumer (Simplex & Complex)- nbn Business- OMMA- Platinum- BDSL- ULL Interference Investigations- Inspections (Poles and Network Sites)- Power Remediation (Restore power to Network Sites)- Power Routines (Proactive maintenance of power infrastructure in Network sites)- Qualifications:
- An employee will be required to possess and maintain the relevant and applicable licenses/qualifications to perform this role, as deemed mandatory by regulatory and legal authorities and must also possess and maintain a current driver’s license.
- Ability to analyze and report results for voice, data and network technologies.
- Certificate IV in Telecommunications + relevant open cabling license endorsed with Aerial (A), Underground (U).
- Traffic management qualifications
