Fibre Technician

**Fibre Technician**:

**Ventia **are seeking an experience and qualified **Fibre Technician** with Telecommunications experience to support our Telco contract. Reporting to the Superintendent, this role will see you in the field working on telecommunications projects performing activities such as installation, commissioning, integration, splicing, patching and fault finding.

This is a fulltime permanent role working across the Perth metro region, as well as remote and regional travel with possible overtime opportunities throughout the week and weekends as required. A company car will also be provided in this position.

**Key duties, but not limited to**:

- Installation, commissioning and troubleshooting 3G / 4G / 5G base stations
- Installation of CISCO, CIENA, and Infinera equipment
- Rack installs to be fitted out as well as cable tray extensions
- Fault-finding and restoration on field equipment using OTDR testing tools
- Progress reporting to Field Manager, Project Engineer or Supervisor of site works in Ventia and Client systems
- Understand and interpret drawings to ensure construction work is completed appropriately
- Assist the other team members with civil and hauling works as required

**Requirements**:

- Australian Driver’s License
- Certificate / Qualifications in Telecommunications
- Experience in large-scale rollouts in the Telecommunications field
- Excellent ability to work independently and liaise with the customer, colleagues, and clients
- Use of cable sweep testing units, PIM testers, Ethernet/SDH, OTDR, Optical Power testing and metering equipment
- P1 Access - Highly regarded
