Tennis World Canberra Tennis Centre is a facility offering a range of programs that combines tennis, fitness and fun. The development of grassroots through to elite level coaching programs is essential for the long-term participation objectives across the territory. These are to be complimented with Cardio Tennis and Social Leagues to engage players more regularly and create a positive environment within the site. Due to this, we are now looking for a talented Head Coach at Tennis World in Canberra.

This position is responsible for the effective implementation, growth, and development of the tennis coaching programs at Tennis World Canberra. A primary focus is on the development and growth of participation in core coaching programs including Hot Shots, Group Lessons, Development Squads, Performance Programs, Adult Lessons and School groups.

About the role
- Reporting to the Manager, Tennis World NSW & ACT, key responsibilities include:_
- Setting individual coach benchmarks in consultation with coaching staff
- Maintaining and improving standards of professionalism and excellence that reflect a high-performance culture
- Planning coaching schedules to maximise program occupancy across the program pathway
- Oversee and advise on developing appropriate training for coaches to increase their skill base
- Lead and conduct internal programs to encourage ongoing participation and overall retention
- Planning a balanced timetable and conduct school sessions onsite and offsite during school terms

About you
- What you will bring to the role:_
- Proven ability to develop and implement a high-performance tennis program for developmental and high-performance tennis athletes
- Extensive experience coaching tennis at a high-performance, national or international level and a successful track record
- Knowledge in delivering and setting up full time school-based programs
- Proven involvement working with all ages and abilities (e.g. pre-schoolers through to adults)
- Previous delivery experience within Tennis Australia program pathway (preferred)
- International coaching and/or playing experience (preferred)
- Experience in staff management and ensuring high levels of customer service
- Highly effective organisational and communication skills
- Ability to be creative and innovative in designing and implementing programs
- You must hold (or be willing to obtain) a current Police Check and Working with Children Check
