**The Role**

The APS4 Actuary is a team membership position that will work within defined parameters relating to their area of responsibility. The position will provide operational and administrative support that is informed and directed by sound knowledge in areas and may undertake some research and analysis activities.

**Skills and qualifications needed for the role**:

- Relevant quantitative degree in actuarial studies, statistics, engineering, mathematics, econometrics, computer science or related field
- Experience is not essential but attention to detail and willingness to learn is needed
- Knowledge of statistical techniques and methods
- Strong analytical skills and problem-solving skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel
- Effective communication skills (both written and verbal)
- Ability to work effectively within a team environment
- Adaptable and responsive to a continuously changing environment
- Experience using SAS (preferred)/SQL/R/other programming languages and/or analytics platforms desirable, as well as experience working with large datasets
