We offer a range of services including Harm Reduction and Primary Health Services as well as a range of treatment types (including residential treatment centres, community-based support programs, counselling and withdrawal management services). - We are currently seeking a values-driven and proactive AOD Support Worker to provide effective support to Participants ensuring a safe and structured environment is maintained in accordance with TSA guidelines, within a Participant lead recovery-based service.- You will successfully- Provide appropriate support to participants in line with established frameworks and TSA policies and procedures
- Assist case workers to address client needs, administer the program, contribute to case plans, complete administration tasks and provide supervision to participants
- Make decisions consistent with TSA Recovery Services and Centre Policy and procedures in relation to participant/staff matters
- Carry out tasks identified by Centre Manager or Team Lead including; driving clients, cleaning and preparing rooms, food preparation, doing laundry, supervising participant groups or activities as required
- You will have- Certificate IV in a relevant discipline (or working towards)
- Knowledge of AOD, Community Services and Health Sectors. -An understanding of the issues faced by people experiencing AOD related issues, mental ill health and other disabilities
- Experience working with people from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander background
- Experience working with people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds and religions
- Willingness and ability to work shifts across the week - Monday to Sunday, including overnight shifts
- Hold and maintain a current First Aid and CPR Certificate
- Current Driver’s licence
