About the role

The primary purpose of this role is to plan, develop and manage The Salvation Army’s (TSA) Student Lounge Geelong providing an effective, safe, and inclusive space to support international students studying and living in Geelong. The Program Manager provides strategic direction and provides professional advice on matters relating to international students. This role works collaboratively with staff across TSA Geelong Malop Street as well as relevant partners and stakeholders to enhance international students experience while studying in Geelong.

This is a part time position, 16 hours per week for 12 months based at Geelong Corps.

You will have
- Degree qualification with subsequent relevant experience within a higher education environment or extensive experience and management expertise
- Evidence of high-level knowledge and experience with international students studying and the factors that influence their transition, engagement, and retention
- Experience in the design and delivery of evidenced-based proactive and reactive programs and services that target international students and which address risk factors
- Experience in program management and delivery for international students, including managing, and implementing multiple initiatives.
- Experience developing and managing budgets
- Understanding of and commitment to the mission and values of The Salvation Army
