**About the Role**

As a Locomotive Driver, you will prepare and operate locomotives and trains in a safe manner that complies with operational procedures. In tandem with this objective, you will play a key role in ensuring that customer and operational requirements are met, with a particular focus on safety, delivery and quality.

Key responsibilities include:

- Performing/coordinating shunting movements, both independently and in cooperation with Shift Managers, in accordance with established procedures and standards.
- Processing and monitoring train performance information.
- Provisioning and preparing locomotives for train operations including checking and testing control systems as well as preparing relevant compliance documentation.
- Working with key internal stakeholders to work towards a Delivered In-Full, On-Time (DIFOT) performance for the Pacific National group.
- Proactively working towards and supporting the achievement of safety goals.
- On-going commitment to company values of safety, integrity, accountability and teamwork.

- Passion for success and willingness to undertake ongoing training and development activities

- Current motor vehicle licence is essential.
