**What you’ll do**:
- Ensure that accurate and timely water quality advice is provided to water planning and delivery teams, customers, and stakeholders. Develop and implement policies, plans and procedures as required to ensure effective service delivery that meets customer and business needs.
- Make sure the Water Quality Management System meets business and regulatory requirements. Recommend and implement any improvements as required.
- Maintain effective working relationships with stakeholders and regulators to ensure the timely resolution of customer, stakeholder and regulator issues relating to water quality and modelling and the maintenance of ongoing compliance levels.
- Lead the provision of and ensure support to teams operating water infrastructure during significant events including floods and water quality incidents in line with approved operating protocols to minimise risk to assets and the downstream communities.
**What we are looking for**:
- Experience in operating at a senior management level within a complex and varied business environment.
- Proven experience in leading a large, multidisciplinary team with technical skills and knowledge.
- Demonstrated knowledge of contemporary trends in water supply operations and water quality management.
- Established network with external stakeholders and regulators in the NSW water industry preferred.
- Demonstrated knowledge of NSW Water Management legislation, including for water quality outcomes.
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant engineering or science discipline.
- Current NSW Drivers Licence.
