The organisation is a regional, local government in Southeast Queensland, who are focused on providing extensive support and job security to their team.
- About the Role:_

We are looking for a HR Officer with a focus on learning & development and training, to join an established HR team.
- Identify and address training gaps through investigations alongside Departmental Managers;
- Develop and implement a successful training calendar, organising and at times delivering scheduled training;
- Ensure various parties maintain their qualifications/tickets by assisting with training attendance and document management;
- Utilise an existing bank of documents, templates and software for training alerts and other functions;
- Assist with recruitment, onboarding, remuneration and performance management across staff and teams;
- Conduct inductions; and
- Assist apprentices and trainees.
- About you:_

The business requires someone who is both encouraging and assertive, to ensure employees complete their required training. You’ll also:

- Have a HR degree and/or at least 3 years’ experience in a HR setting;
- Be a detail-oriented person with a passion for people and development; and
- Be driven to ensure compliance and best practice for Council’s needs.

This is a generalist HR role that will have an emphasis on organisational development, and the advancement of people skills and their professional ability. However you will also get involved in most other facets of the HR spectrum as you will be assisting the HR team and the various Directors with all matters pertaining to people.
