Save-A-Dog Scheme (SADS), is an animal organisation with a No-Kill philosophy. We are seeking to fill the position of an Animal Attendant with the possibility for further responsibilities for the right person at our Glen Iris facility (and when required our Yarrambat facility).
A relevant background in a similar role is highly desirable.
The role includes a mixture of hands-on work, caring for the dogs in the kennels and handling day to day office work relative to the keeping of dog files etc..
The successful applicant must have experience in:
Cleaning Kennels
Feeding
Monitoring dogs
Preparing for vet visits
Microsoft Suite ( Training will be provided for SADS unique computer system)

The work is physically demanding but incredibly rewarding. SADS’ staff and volunteers are totally committed to our no kill philosophy and we’re passionate about saving as many dogs and cats as possible.
Current hours required are maximum 35 but applicant must be flexible and able to fill extra days at short notice or when other staff are on holidays.

**Job Type**: Casual
Pay: $29.04 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 35 per week
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday

- Weekend availability
