**DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**

At Elevation Secondary College, we are committed to training and developing the skills of the appointed AFL trainee(s) to undertake the duties and responsibilities listed below:
Physical Education
- Assist with the organisation of equipment prior to the commencement of classes run by PE teachers. This will include communicating with relevant teachers, organizing relevant equipment ahead of classes commencing, and monitoring the use and return of equipment on a day-to-day basis.
- Equipment management and ordering This will include maintaining a stock take of equipment we currently have, identifying equipment that needs to be purchased for the immediate future and sourcing quotes from our suppliers. This will also include the use of the school management system.
- In
- class assistant Dependent on the needs of the PE teachers on any given day, this may include assistance with coaching and/or delivery of small group sessions as planned by the teacher(s).
- Any other relevant duties as required by Physical Education teachers and supervisor(s).
Sport
- Organisation of interschool sports events This will include the organisation of team sheets, training sessions, first aid bags, uniform/equipment and running sheets for excursions.
- Organisation of intraschool sport events Assist with the planning, organisation and delivery of lunch time programs and intraschool activities (e.g. athletics day).
- Any other relevant duties as required by sport teachers, coaches and supervisor(s).
- Work collaboratively in a team environment to support students and staff.
- Have a positive attitude towards learning and developing skills.
- Professionally interact and communicate with students and staff at all times.
- Be able to work efficiently under pressure and take initiative to complete tasks.
- Be highly organised and punctual.
- Be able to read and understand school policy and work to strict timelines.
- Follow direction from supervisor(s) and teachers.

**SALARY**

$21,500 - $30,000 plus 11% Superannuation
- National Training Wage Award
- Fully Funded Qualification

**MORE INFORMATION**
- People with tertiary qualifications need not apply. Current university applicants may have to defer their studies to be eligible for this traineeship.
- This position is best suited to a recent secondary school leaver.
