**Job Description**:
Are you looking at relocating to Darwin? SGS has a great opportunity for a Casual Laboratory Technician based just outside of Darwin, NT. You will play a crucial role in providing on-site analytical testing. Your responsibilities will include ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our contracted laboratory and conducting various analytical tests with mínimal supervision.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Conduct sampling and testing of in-process, environmental, and utilities facilities.
- Operate, calibrate, and perform routine maintenance on analytical instruments with a high degree of precision. Proficiency with the following instruments is essential: Gas Chromatography, Auto titrators, UV/Vis Photometry.
- Maintain calibration records, analytical results, test reports, and maintenance records within the CLIENT intranet and LIMS system.
- Safely manage plant sampling stations for liquefied hydrocarbons, low and high-pressure hydrocarbon gases, cryogenic liquids, and hazardous aqueous liquids.
- Interpret piping and instrumentation diagrams, and ensure safe configuration of sample collection equipment based on process status.
- Contribute to the development of analytical procedures, involving systematic knowledge integration from various sources.
- Conduct custody transfer analysis of LNG products with precision and meticulous attention to detail.

**Qualifications**:

- Relevant Technical School qualifications or tertiary studies.
- Demonstrated experience in handling Petrochemical, Gas, or Chemical Products.
- Knowledge of Quality Systems.
