**About the role**
The Safety and Wellbeing Advisor contributes to the development of safety and wellbeing policies, procedures and initiatives aligned to Department objectives and NSW Government Priorities.
The Advisor provides a range of project management and support services, and preparation of reports and briefs, coordinating resources, maintaining project documentation, and implementing and monitoring project plans, to ensure project outcomes are achieved on time, on budget, to quality standards, within agreed scope and in line with established project management methodology.
This role provides advice and information on safety and wellbeing across the Department to support compliance with legislative requires and to ensure an environment that aligns to the Department values, culture, and behavioural objectives.
The role supports project coordination for safety and wellbeing initiatives including the annual vaccination program and employee assistance program (EAP) and the management of risks and making recommendations for continuous improvement and best practice.
**What are we looking for?**
- Tertiary qualifications in Work, Health & Safety (minimum Certificate IV in WHS) or willingness to undertake accreditation or relevant field and/or equivalent experience.
- Knowledge of and experience in the delivery and evaluation of work, health & safety (WHS) and wellbeing strategies, programs, and initiatives.
- Experience coordinating and undertaking projects including preparing project documentation.
- Knowledge of relevant WHS legislation.
