**Role**:
Within the context of the College’s profile, the Head of Inclusion and Wellbeing holds a significant leadership portfolio within the College and is an integral member of the Executive Principal team at MLP-12C.

Given the Department of Education FISO 2.0 priorities the Head of Wellbeing and Inclusion will have a whole-school focus and will oversee wellbeing, engagement, inclusion programs and their reflected strategies and implementation (School Strategic Plan 2024-2027).

Duties will include the 2024 roll out of the Disability Inclusion reforms. The College, in preparation for the new paradigm has in place a series of Leadership portfolios to drive the College’s successful implementation. These senior roles, inclusive of Wellbeing Leading Teachers, a suite of ES staff and the College’s Allied Health Services will report directly to the Head of Wellbeing and Inclusion.

It is expected that a background in ensuring Department of Education policies in this space are followed and acted upon would be evident. The successful applicant will have strong educational leadership skills and an ability to lead whole school change. The Head of Inclusion and Wellbeing will be a key member of the college’s Executive Principal Class team with oversight of the Wellbeing Policies and procedures, Allied Health Services and Inclusion ES staff.

**Responsibilities**:
Typically, assistant principals perform one or more of the following functions:

- supervision and coordination of the work of senior curriculum or level coordinators;
- allocation of budgets, positions of responsibility and other resources within the area of responsibility;
- supervision of the delivery of teaching programs;
- management of programs to improve the knowledge and experience of staff;
- responsibility for general discipline matters beyond the management of classroom teachers and year level coordinators;
- contribute to the overall management of the school;
