Our Urban Water Policy team is currently seeking to appoint a **Principal Policy Officer Urban Water** to lead policy development and deliver reform projects; including integrated land use planning and water management, water recycling, water sensitive urban design, potable water, water industry competition, demand management and drought response.

The Urban Water Policy team works in partnership with customers and stakeholders, including local water utilities, industry partners and other government agencies, on a range of vital urban water policy issues to achieve great outcomes for the community.

**About You**

We are seeking someone with demonstrated experience and knowledge in:

- Providing high quality, timely and expert policy advice, including identifying and assessing significant emerging issues and contentious matters.
- Dealing with a diverse range of complex policy and conceptual issues in order to recommend practical solutions, often within limited time frames.
- Building great professional working relationships with stakeholders, internal and external to government, on complex and sensitive issues.
- Representing your organisation/agency with industry and agency governance bodies and at industry forums.
- Maintaining knowledge of legislative, policy and process requirements.
- Exercising sound judgement in an environment of changing priorities and conflicting perspectives.

Experience and knowledge in water and/or planning policy would be an advantage but is not essential.
