Eva Burrows College (EBC) is the National Learning Centre of The Salvation Army. We offer education and training including professional development, vocational training, officer ship, and higher education to build capacity and capability and deliver on the Army’s mission to transform lives.
ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking an Alcohol and Other Drugs (AOD) Trainer to join our growing Vocational Training team. This casual role is highly flexible offering the opportunity to work remotely and adjust work hours to meet your lifestyle (approx. 12 hours per week will be required).
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high quality training programs on campus, online or in the workplace in accordance with RTO procedure.
- Source and contextualise training materials to meet the learner needs, ensuring they are engaging and meet current industry requirements.
- Mark submitted assessments within the required timeframe and provide meaningful feedback to the learners.
- Proactively identify, establish and build sound networks across The Salvation Army particularly within Eva Burrows College and across the AOD stream.
- Contribute to the evaluation program of RTO activities including compilation of reports with key learnings and recommendations to be incorporated back into strategic plans and future planning.
ABOUT YOU
- TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
- Diploma in Alcohol and Other Drugs, or
- Suitable qualifications as per revised standards (see link below)
- Experience working in the community services/ AOD sector
- A current Working with Children Check - Employee (or willing to apply)
