**About the opportunity**
We are seeking a Claims Advisor to join our Claims Management team. This role aims to primarily support the Workers’ Compensation Manager and actively contribute to the achievement of workers’ compensation and injury claims/case management strategies, predominantly within the QLD self-insurance scheme. The scope of work requires demonstrated end-to-end claims and/or case management experience, an ability to provide high quality administrative claims and injury management support and willingness to work autonomously within a small team.
Key activities:
- Manage an end-to-end claims portfolio in accordance with the Qld Workers’ Compensation and Rehabilitation Act 2003 and requirements of the ACES self-insurance licence.
- Interpret relevant legislation and provide advice to claimants and other stakeholders regarding workers’ compensation entitlements.
- Provide education to managers and staff to ensure they understand their rights and responsibilities in relation to workers’ compensation and injury management including relevant policies and processes.
- Undertake administrative duties including accurate and timely recording of claims, medical certificates, accounts, file notes and other correspondence in the claims management data system.
- Facilitate discussions with Rehabilitation Advisers regarding the approval of reasonable rehabilitation expenses required to enable effective outcomes for injured workers.
- Maintain excellent customer service and build and maintain effective relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
- Provide support for general wellbeing initiatives for the organisation and related administration tasks.
- Ensure claim expenditures are compliant and cost effective.

**We would love to hear from you if you have**
- Proven experience in end-to-end claims and/or rehabilitation case management experience, ideally within the QLD workers’ compensation scheme
- Qualifications in case management and rehabilitation or another equivalent discipline, or significant experience deemed the equivalent.
- Ability to manage time effectively and coordinate multiple activities simultaneously.
- Well-developed organisational and planning skills, with high attention to detail
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills - written and verbal.
- A team player with a positive can-do attitude
- Previous experience working within a self-insurance scheme would be desirable.
- Ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders to enhance the achievement of workers’ compensation and injury claims/case management.
