Melbourne Grammar School is seeking a full-time Learning Assistant to work as part of our Learning Strategies team within our junior school, Grimwade House.

Grimwade House is a caring and happy environment which values the particular nature of each child. The School is divided into two well-resourced sections, each with its own classrooms, level coordinator and specially designed play area. The Learning Assistant will work with individual students or groups of students to ensure they are able to access the School’s relevant curriculum.

**You will**
- Promote a warm, positive and nurturing environment while supporting students with their learning
- Have demonstrated the ability to work with Learning Strategies Staff and the Classroom Teachers in a professional manner
- Have the ability to build and maintain positive working relationships with designated students, bringing out the best in them
- Display a high level of communication and interpersonal skills when relating to students, parents and work colleagues

Appropriate educational qualifications, with Special Education/Learning Intervention qualifications, or similar, considered an advantage

This position is a fixed-term full-time opportunity for the 2023 academic year, commencing immediately.
