Workshop Supervisor

As a result of our continues growth we are looking for 2 X Workshop Supervisors’ roster cycle Days/Nights to join our company to strengthen our workshop team in our brand new workshop located in Hope Valley.

As a Workshop Supervisor you will report to the Workshop Manager working closely with Workshop Manager to ensure quality project delivery. We are looking for our Workshop Supervisor to have strong leadership skills, able to supervise and allocate work task to Tradesmen and Trades Assistance and closely mentor and guide Apprentices and School based Trainees.

**Duties but not limited to**:

- Plan, implement and coordinate the fabrication workshop activities in line with client deadlines.
- Supervise workshop personnel.
- Mentor guide and support the team to deliver desired outcomes.
- Ensure HSE policies and procedures are adhered to, working on continuously identify performance improvements.
- Drive efficiencies
- ensuring works are delivered on time and to client expectations.
- Liaising with the Project & Quality teams to deliver the required scope of work delivered.
- Liaising with Workshop manager to ensure the workshop has all the resources required to complete projects in a timely manner.

**Essential**
- Certificate III in Engineering -Fabrication Trade or
- Bachelor Mechanical or Structural Engineering
- A minimum 6 years’ experience in heavy steel fabrication environment and
- A minimum of 2 years workshop supervision experience.
- Experience with fabrication and welding of structural steel work, piping and platework.
- Extensive knowledge of fabrication and welding techniques and principles
- Forklift, dogging, rigging, Franna and telehandler tickets desirable.
- IT literate experience with MS Office Suites

**Desirable**
- Knowledge of STRUMIS highlyregarded.

- 12 hour shift
